Boxing Fitness

This class is intended for learning boxing while having fun and enjoying a great workout. No equipment is needed.

Class will start with conditioning to ensure the body is properly warmed up. Compound and high intensity exercises comprise most of the conditioning to focus on muscles used during the class. Boxing will be done using drills which are great for getting a basic idea of form and technique. This is a great time to have the camera on so the instructor can fix form and help to ensure proper technique. The classes are for all levels and exercises can be modified accordingly. Whether you want to try out boxing because it seems fun or you want to actively compete, these classes are great for an introduction to boxing and great for those who want to review fundamentals

Meet Our Instructor

Gardea Christian
Former Marine with 15 plus years of fitness experience and Certified USA Boxing Amateur Coach based in NYC. After attending the U.S. Naval Academy, where he boxed competitively and trained boxers, he served in the US Marine Corps. While in Afganistan he started a kids fitness program, training children from ages 6 to 15 in boxing and fitness. Gardea's teaching style is a combination of both discipline and technique. His energy blends that of a drill instructor and a life coach, with a strong emphasis on motivation and mental focus. In addition to leading boxing workshops virtually as well as in-person with Exubrancy, Gardea serves on the executive board of Trifecta Strong.
