Practice Public Speaking

This is an informal session where you get to practice quick thinking, public speaking and giving feedback! Participants will receive a random prompt and then have a limited amount of time to prepare and speak on it. In the past we’ve had prompts such as ‘Why children should pay rent’, ‘Convince the group why drinking in public is classy and not trashy’ and ‘Why Elvis would make a great president’.

Jasmine Smellie
Site & Junior Customer Relations Manager. Jasmine’s passion lies in social innovation and inspiring new leaders to create positive changes through entrepreneurship and creative thinking. At Next Jump, Jasmine co-leads the internal public speaking workshop for fellow employees and hosts the UK Coronitas recognition event. She cares about empowering others to find their voice to speak out on issues important to them.
Lauren Jablonski
Lauren is Next Jump’s first trainee Software Engineer where she is currently part of the Customer Experience Team and is training to transition into the engineering team. Lauren also co-leads the Life Events team to show appreciation and care for employees on birthdays, anniversaries and annual UK holidays. In addition to passionately providing customers and employees with the best experience possible, Lauren now externally and internally co-hosts public speaking sessions to help colleagues grow and improve their confidence.
