Mindfulness That Really Works

Adults · Wellness
Unlock the secrets of a mindfulness practice that can really work for you, in this science-led session led from meditation teacher Neil Midgley.

Practising mindfulness could help you to feel better, work better and get along with people better. But be careful which mindfulness product you choose, because many of them – including market-leading apps – come with very little evidence that they’re any good.

Neil definitely has the evidence. He’s a Teaching Partner and Workplace Advisor at Oxford University’s Mindfulness Centre (OMC) – a world-leading hub for academic research into mindfulness.

Over the last 13 years, the OMC has developed and tested an 8-week mindfulness course, which Neil now offers through his company Change 2%. So the Change 2% Mindfulness Course comes with real proof that it helps to decrease stress, worry, anxiety and depression.

In this session, Neil will share some of the mindfulness practices from that scientifically-proven Change 2% Mindfulness Course – practices that you can take with you and start using straight away. And he’ll delve into the rest of the course, to help you decide whether to take it.

Neil will also explain some of the clinical psychology behind successful mindfulness practice, busting a few myths in the process. Do you believe that mindfulness is a relaxation technique? That it involves clearing your mind of thoughts? Or that it can help you manage difficult emotions? Find out which one of these is true!

Attend this presentation and you’ll get:

• A roadmap for successfully deploying mindfulness to support your wellbeing, your work and your relationships
• The password to an exclusive website, featuring Change 2% audio meditations to download and keep
• Access to free live drop-in meditation classes after the session
• An additional 10% discount from the already best-available Perks at Work price for the Change 2% Mindfulness Course

Meet Our Instructor

Neil Midgley
Trained to teach mindfulness at Oxford University’s Mindfulness Centre, where he now teaches and is a Workplace Advisor. He recently founded Change 2% as a more human (and more evidence-based) alternative to mindfulness apps, offering 8-week courses taught live by experienced teachers. In his former lives, Neil was first a corporate lawyer (at firms including Linklaters) and then a newspaper journalist (mainly for The Daily Telegraph). After 25 years of corporate life in London, Neil understands first-hand the stresses and anxieties that can bring people to explore mindfulness practice – and has developed a solution to meet them. Neil has very definitely never been a Buddhist monk.
