Clay At Home

Clay at Home will be a beginners' art course regarding how to make clay at home, basic shapes/forms, and making objects out of clay in a way that will give students a deeper understanding of the material. Students will learn how to make their own clay, learn about the usefulness of clay, have command over a material that has helped humans as long as we have been around, and most importantly be able to have fun with it.

Equipment: Metal utensils, 1 cup flour, 1 cup salt, Olive/Vegetable/Coconut, 1/2 cup of water, 1 tspn of oil( optional), Liquid Food Coloring (optional), Plastic Surface Cover and Tape, Gloves (optional)
Audience: Ages 5-7

Myx Lee
Myx is a sculptor born and raised in New York City. She is finishing a BFA in Sculpture from SUNY Purchase. Clay, Wire, and Plaster are among the materials they love working in. Myx specializes in creating figurative forms in clay, welding, making jewelry, claymation, and performance art. Myx also enjoys playing Pokemon and Animal Crossing on their Nintendo Switch!
