Hip Hop Dance Series (4 of 9)

This Hip-Hop dance class will be focused on learning a fun combination of a new song. We will be working on memory and putting moves together and every week new dance moves will be added. At the end of this series, we will have a long dance to the chosen song, that we’ll be able to share with the COA world as well as our families! Come ready for some challenges and most of all come ready to HAVE FUN!

Meet Our Instructor

Hilary Sayers
Hilary “Hibbz” Sayers has been a dancer in the greater Boston Community for over 20 years. Starting out with classical dance styles of Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap, growing into the styles of Foundational and Commercial Hip-Hop, as well as studying other street styles Poppin’, Breakin’, Waacking, and House. An active member of Boston’s oldest hip-hop crew “The Floor Lords”, she has spent the past 10 years studying the hip-hop culture all over the country. Performing, Competing, Battling, Cyphering in/at community and stage competitions all over the US, she hopes to continue to help grow the dance community in the right direction through the true essence and elements of Hip-Hop. Hilary has performed before artists such as Method Man, Red Man, DMX, and Jadakiss. She was was the 2016/2017 All Styles finalist and semi-finalist in Boston University’s local competition “OvrDrv”, an all styles finalist in Houston Texas’s event “Bgirl City”, and a winner recently in Washington DC at the “Bustin Loose” Jam 7-to-smoke All Styles Battle in 2018. Hilary believes she is “always a student” and continues everyday to better herself as an educator and hopes to show every young aspiring dancer why dancing is the best gift of life!
