Join Jules in this class honoring “Time to Talk Day”, a day focused on creating supporting communities by having open conversations with your family, friends, or colleagues about mental health. Have you ever wondered what is Mental Health and what part you can play in it? Did you ever wish to speak to a special someone but felt that you could not open up or the other person did not open up to you either?
In this interactive class we will:
• Focus on the importance of healthy communication and sharing for positive mental health.
• Talk through stigmas and barriers around why people don't talk about their mental health.
• Discuss the importance of and benefits of connection and validation, including choosing the right people to share your stories with.
• Discuss MHFA England's recommendations of how to talk about your mental health and listen to others about their own.
At the end of the class there will be a poll to decide whether to end with 10 minutes of breakout rooms, where people could get a chance to share their stories or people to share one at a time, getting the support and feedback of the entire group in a kind and mindful manner.
