Authenticity in Teams: Reducing Lying, Hiding & Faking
0 Views
Unlock your team's full potential by addressing the hidden barriers to creativity and innovation. In this workshop, we'll explore the concept of "Lying, Hiding & Faking" (LHF) and the unconscious behaviors that stifle open communication and authentic collaboration.
This interactive workshop will help you increase your self- awareness by introducing RABs: “Red Arrow Behaviors”:
• Identify and reduce ego-driven interactions
• Creating an environment where difficult topics can be discussed freely
• How to invest in genuine, non-transactional teamwork
Who this is for: This "Better Me" workshop is ideal for anyone looking to enhance their collaborative skills, increase open communication, and become a more effective team player in both professional and personal settings.
About Next Jump: Next Jump is recognized by Harvard University as 1 of 2 top learning organizations globally, alongside Bridgewater, largest hedge fund in the world (“DDO: Deliberately Developmental Organization”). Our programs are built as “in-practice” workshops for teams. Like a weekly gym for better decision making. Our programs are not like other, traditional corporate development programs. Our programs are more engaging & challenging … and that makes them more effective. However, prospective clients often have trouble envisioning what our courses are like in-practice … so we’ve introduced a 90-minute mini-experience so you can get a taste of it yourself.
Our programs are a combination of workshop + technology + theory/research + connection with teammates. One current participant, who is in a parallel (but more traditional) executive leadership program described it this way: “I’m finding these sessions much more impactful with regards to how to communicate and give feedback, and also understand why I act in certain ways which improve the ‘soft skills’ element of leadership, which is worth somewhere between 60 and 90% of leadership output.”
What is Next Jump solving for? Teams perform better & achieve better results when they are making rapid, high-quality decisions. However, most organizations have not setup programs/routines/culture to make each employee continually better … systems to help employees be “a scientist on their own decisions.” Some common situations where we can help include:
• Teams that are “waiting for instructions” … instead of solving problems & jumping on opportunities, they tend to wait for leadership setup. They are afraid to make decisions & get easily stuck. Our program helps teams be self-starting (vs waiting to be told what to do), self-aligning (to the organization’s mission) & self-correcting (without leadership having to intervene).
• Senior / executive teams who want higher degrees of candor, speed & peer accountability. Vs often see a “nice” culture that has unintended consequences of not maximizing people’s potential. We have witnessed people who have worked together for 10+ years and without getting REAL.
Agenda: Thursday, August 29nd (3:30-5pm EDT, Zoom)
• Intro to Red Arrow Behaviors (RABs). What are the unconscious behaviors that stifle full & open communication.
• Intro to High Expectations + High-Calorie Feedback. Tools to give feedback with this ethos: “what can I tell my teammate today, so they will be more successful 3-months from now?”
• Program overview + QA
Designed By a Deliberately Developmental Organization (DDO): Next Jump is one of the two companies globally recognized by Harvard Business School as a “Deliberately Developmental Organization” or “DDO,” or a company that puts learning at the heart of their corporate culture and strategy.
We have been at the forefront of leadership in practice for 30 years, training and collaborating with thought leaders across industry including Military, Education, Sports, Medicine, Non-Profit and F1000.
Our moto: “Better Me + Better You = Better Us” … to do the little things, that allow others to do the great things they were meant to do.
