About the teachers
Emma Willars
Emma has worked in Learning & Development for over 20 years. As Director & Lead Consultant at Work Life Now, she supports employers and employees with models and solutions for better work-life integration: creating content - facilitating virtual workshops – consulting on diversity & inclusion strategies.
Emma developed and managed the Work+Family Academy for My Family Care/Bright Horizons - shaping a dynamic programme to support over 300 leading employers and individuals across sectors. A seasoned webinar designer, host and facilitator, she has delivered hundreds of events and group coaching sessions - from audiences of 3,000 at a time to more intimate groups of just 15 participants.
Right now, Emma is committed to taking workplaces into the post Covid 21st Century. Today, the intersection of work ambition with broader life priorities is in the spotlight more than ever, following months of so many working fully from home. What’s next for work and life...?
As a parent of three, Emma brings her own personal insights for managing work and life today. Her work pattern has been agile for most of her career and from before the term was widely used. She is passionate about exploring and adapting working approaches for more positive conversations on all this.
Emma holds an MA in Language & Culture, awarded by the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Her Master’s dissertation drew on her early career experience and work with The British Council in Nairobi and Johannesburg. Committed to lifelong learning (and unlearning), Emma holds a Certificate in Coaching (IAPD).
