Herm Shelanski
Herman Shelanski retired as a Vice Admiral in the United States Navy, after serving 38 years of dedicated and honorable service. The majority of his career was associated with aircraft carriers, the largest most powerful warship in the world and a testament of America’s dedication to national security and world peace. He has close to 500 launches and recoveries off of numerous aircraft carriers in the E2-C Hawkeye aircraft, navigated the USS Independence aircraft carrier around the horn and commanded a Hawkeye squadron during the maiden, around the world deployment of the USS John C Stennis aircraft carrier . Throughout his career he has lead at many levels and eventually promoted to a Vice Admiral, his most significant and satisfying leadership experience was as the Captain, in command of the USS Harry S Truman aircraft carrier during a wartime deployment.
