COURSE HOME

This is a weekly class for Leaders who “in practice” spend majority of their time having to lead meetings, coach bottom/top/middle performers and much more. However, most of us have had little to no formal training/ rarely given any instruction in what takes 80-90% of our time. WFH (work from home), distributed workforces, who now have to manage dual spouses WFH, homeschooling children, while worrying about everyone’s health and safety…magnifies the leadership challenges and makes the job 10x harder.

Leadership In Practice #183 - The 100 Year Change In: PEOPLE METRICS

I felt that Charlie had no interest or patience in allowing his partner to speak. It seemed that he thought what he had to say was more important than anything she had to offer. It was supposed to be 45 minutes starting at 11:00. It was almost 12:30 and the class was still on going. I felt I learned very little from this class about leadership. What I did learn, I feel could have been covered in 15 minutes. I don\'t anticipate signing on for any more of these classes.

It was kinda hard for the class to stay focused, went on too many tangents and didn\'t get into the actual content until the class was slated to be over. I am not sure I really gathered anything by the time they finally got into the content, and unfortunately, I don\'t appreciate going over time. we are all working adults with busy schedules.

I did not receive the Zoom link as promised. I emailed them to let them know with no response. I then waited 5 minutes to see if I could join as a \"walk-in\". Can\'t do that either. Very disappointed. Have a second class in an hour with no zoom link either. Guess I will miss that one too. Don\'t recommend.

This was the very first session I had been able to join live. I thought the session was great and enjoyed the conversation! It did go over the allocated time by more than an hour, which may be an issue for those with other meetings and commitments. The only thing I thought it was missing was a final summary of what had been covered and how to take the knowledge moving forward. I really enjoyed Charlie and Meghan\'s style of presentation! I applaud the creativity of the person who thought to hold up a laptop to the camera to show the video clips! It made a huge difference! Thank you!

You were laser focused this week. I meant to comment on last lip, 131, where at the beginning you seemed way off topic about the story with your son and asking your daughter why he was hiding…Meghan’s face was get me out of here. Was that part of the mission, did that story help guide the presentation? You also took a lot of time from Tim, it felt like you didn’t feel there was enough content and you needed to fill the space.

This comment references the class delivery and not the content (which I found interesting and engaging with a wide-variety of speakers, although the class was a too long when it was advertised as 45 min). It\'s so unprofessional to using profanity in a business setting--I couldn\'t believe it when I heard the s-word, but then minutes later someone actually said the f-word!!!!! When did THAT become acceptable in a professional setting with a broad audience? REALLY DISAPPOINTED, and--in my opinion--NOT a good example of Leadership in Practice!

Lip 106, I felt like I was inside your brain today, it felt all over the place. And hour in I was asking, where is all the lying…the topic of the discussion. After reflecting I think these were the lies: Was it lying in action by faking emotion, and being numb is worst of all. Lying to self that alone is best when good teaming is better. Lying about action when 85% of the time was discussing. Lying on our mindset, we are overly patient when we think we are action?

Learned so much for today's coaching. Especially took away a lot from Hamish and Navy Chris' situation. The 2nd to last situation was hard to stay with. I felt like she didn't actually want to get coached so it felt like at some point, it was not a good use of your time. I observed how you stuck with it until the end and really made the deliberate effort to give her coaching. (Personally, I would not have had the patience.)

Wow! Today was a 10 out of 10. I loved the topics. Even though you had 3 topics, they still flowed together. Not all over the place as had happened other times. I like staying till very end as that’s when you give us a golden nugget. Today: Upgrade your automatic. I’m reading Atomic Habits. It’s amazing how many things we do automatically, like go to work in the industrial environment. Thank you again for the opportunity to grow and evolve!
